Skeeter Hawk carcass in shower this morning, waterlogged wings spread out across tiled floor. People at school are afraid of me, for they know that I know the truth. Beneath their bravado and "that-what-she-said" jokes they are all quivering, bawling infants, frightened out of their adolescent minds by the concept of looming responsibility. They try to cover up their fears by wreathing their pale frames in sin, whoring themselves sexually and psychologically to the whims of their peers, all the while praying to the deafened gods that no one shall draw attention to their insecurities and flaws. The classrooms are extended gutters, clogging up and choking the faculty with their students' abuse of sex and alchohol. Ironically, in attempting to hide from that awful truths of the world, they themselves put the final nail in their own coffins. One day all the jocks and cheerleaders shall look up and shout: "We're popular!", I'll look down and whisper: "No you're not."
